Culture Tech 2023: Representing MOMus at HELEXPO, Thessaloniki

Culture Tech 2023 Exhibition at HELEXPO International Fair, Thessaloniki, Greece

I’m excited to announce that the MOMus Museum of Contemporary Art has selected my artwork to be part of Culture Tech 2023 at HELEXPO in Thessaloniki. This exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Culture, is dedicated to exploring the intersection of art and technology. Alongside the work of other innovative artists, my artwork “Sensorify” developed under Inpire Project 2023, represents MOMus in a powerful conversation on how digital technology can enhance, preserve, and transform our cultural heritage.

What Culture Tech Means to Me as an Artist

Culture Tech is a chance to showcase how technology is reshaping how we imagine and create as artists and our relationship with cultural heritage. In today’s digital age, technology is a bridge to connect past traditions with future possibilities. By connecting art with technology, Culture Tech makes cultural experiences more interactive and accessible to diverse audiences.

As a new media artist and technologist, I’ve always been drawn to new media because it allows us to explore cultural themes in dynamic-interactive ways. Culture Tech represents this vision perfectly. It’s about traditional culture and modern innovation.

Sensorify Selected by MOMus for Culture Tech

I’m honored to have my artwork selected by the Museum of Contemporary Art to represent them at this year’s Culture Tech. My installation Sensorify will be displayed alongside works by other contemporary artists who participated into the Inspire Project 2023, each contributing to the exhibition’s theme of digital transformation.

The Importance of Culture Tech 2023

Culture Tech is about fostering collaboration between artists, technologists, and cultural institutions. Exhibitions like this one are vital because they explore how art and technology together can make cultural heritage more accessible and engaging. By focusing on cultural preservation through technology, Culture Tech 2023 brings us closer to a future where everyone can experience culture in innovative, digital ways.

Technology offers us new tools to tell stories, connect with audiences, and keep our cultural heritage alive. By participating in Culture Tech, MOMus, along with the other exhibitors involved, is embracing the potential of digital transformation in art. This exhibition is a unique space where we can see how art and digital technology can work together to shape the future of cultural engagement.
