Steve Zafeiriou (b. 1998, Thessaloniki, GR) is a New Media Artist, Technologist, and Founder of Saphire Labs. His practice investigates how technology can influence, shape, and occasionally distort the ways individuals perceive the external world. By employing generative algorithms, electronic circuits, and interactive installations, he examines human behavior in relation to the illusory qualities of perceived reality, inviting observers to reconsider their assumptions and interpretations.

1. Ethical Principles

The foundation of this blog is based on integrity, openness, and respect for the communities it serves — including artists, engineers, researchers, institutions and curious minds.

Content is created to encourage learning, critical thinking, and responsible exploration of technology and art.

2. Editorial Independence

All editorial content is developed independently and reflects the author’s personal research, expertise, and creative perspective.

Sponsored content, partnerships, or collaborations will always be clearly disclosed.

No external party dictates the substance or conclusions of any article or tutorial.

3. Content Responsibility

Every effort is made to ensure that the information shared is accurate, relevant, and responsibly sourced.

While the content may include opinions, speculative ideas, or artistic interpretations, technical guides and how-tos aim to be clear and factual.

Readers are encouraged to cross-reference and validate techniques, especially when working with hardware, electronics, or experimental systems.

4. Transparency

Sources, inspirations, and tools used in the creation of content will be credited whenever possible.

Defining AI Use in Content Creation

To maintain clarity and trust with readers, it’s important to distinguish between two types of AI involvement in content creation:

  1. AI-Generated Content: This refers to text, images, or translations that are fully created by an AI-based tool without substantial human input. If an AI tool is used to generate original content that is then published with minimal or no modification, it qualifies as AI-generated.
  2. AI-Assisted Content: This involves using AI tools to support the creative process—such as checking grammar, enhancing readability, refining tone, or brainstorming ideas—while the final content is created and authored by a human. AI-assisted content reflects the original thought, analysis, and intent of the human creator.

Some content on this blog may be AI-assisted, using tools like large language models to improve grammar, sentence structure, or clarity.

However, no content is AI-generated. All ideas, opinions, technical insights, and artistic reflections are conceived and written by the human author.

AI is used as a tool, not a substitute for original thought.

Sources, inspirations, and tools used in the creation of content will be credited whenever possible.

Any contributions from guest writers or collaborators will also be clearly acknowledged.

5. Revenue and Advertisements

This blog is monetized through methods that help sustain its maintenance and growth.

These may include display advertisements (e.g., Google AdSense), affiliate programs, or occasional sponsored posts.

Any financial support does not compromise editorial integrity or influence content recommendations.

Some pages may contain affiliate links or third-party advertisements.

Clicking on these links may generate a small commission or ad revenue, at no additional cost to the reader.

These partnerships help support the production of open-access educational content.

Only products, tools, or services that align with the blog’s themes and values are considered for promotion.

Any paid collaborations or sponsorships will be transparently disclosed within the content.

7. Corrections and Updates

When errors are identified, content will be corrected or clarified as soon as possible.

Updates to improve clarity, expand on ideas, or reflect new developments in research or technology will be noted where applicable.

Reader feedback is welcomed and plays an important role in ensuring accuracy and improvement.

8. Updates to the Policy

Our Ethics Policy is periodically reviewed and updated to ensure it stays in harmony with our mission and the dynamic nature of our coverage areas.
